These sites are difficult to find, this is because over the last few years there has been a surge in survey websites and those affiliated with those survey sites. Many websites that make themselves out to be legitimate survey sites may in fact just be essentially sub-contracting the work to you and taking a commission.
This is why portal sites with membership fees came around. However if you do seek out portal sites make sure they look professional and give you some kind of money back system.
Just to clarify; you can make money filling in surveys, the simple issue is that there is risk involved with finding good websites. In addition you may find that the stress of it will make you quit. It is for this reason that you should seek out good portal sites, the initially membership is well worth the benefits.
